Stripe Registration Guide

Step by step

The step-by-step procedure

1

Start the
connection

On the “Payment Setup” screen, click the dark “Connect with Stripe” button. The Stripe form will open.

2

Enter your
personal information

On the “Verify your personal information” page, fill in your first and last name, email address, date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY), and home address. Your first and last name, email address, and address are usually pre-populated because they are linked to your Sceido registration.

Add your account
for bank transfers

Immediately after entering your personal information, on the “Add a bank transfer account” screen, choose your currency (EUR), the account country, and enter your IBAN twice. Then click Continue: this will accept the SEPA payment mandate.

Start data
verification

On the “Review and Submit” screen, in the personal information section, a red message will appear saying “Invalid.” Click Edit to review and confirm your information.

The Business Type section on this page refers to Sceido’s business activity and does not need to be taken into account: it is already pre-populated with the link to your shop.

Confirm
your details

Once you click Edit Personal Data, the “Are these personal details correct?” screen opens. The Edit Details button always appears here: this is a standard confirmation step. Check that the information is correct and click “This is correct” to continue (use “Edit Details” only if something really needs to be changed).

If necessary,
confirm your identity:
Upload the document

Stripe may perform an additional security check and require verification of a valid ID. Complete the “Verify Identity” step by uploading the required document. The information entered in the form must match your ID.

This isn’t always required; it only appears if Stripe needs additional verification.

When your first
payout arrives

The first payout takes 7-14 days, few days longer than the ones that follow. Stripe holds it for around 7 to 14 days after your first successful sale, for a standard security check Stripe runs once for every new seller. After this first payout, payments follow a regular schedule and become much faster. In the meantime, you can always see the incoming amount in the Balance section of your Stripe dashboard, along with the estimated payout date. More details in the official Stripe documentation.
